Recently, the nonprofit OLPC has been presenting new branded media work in the U.S. such as the "John Lennon Imagine" television spot and print, billboard.
At the core of the message we can see a need and hear the request for providing a gift: one laptop per child. Is this sustainability?
Culturally, we often think about green things, and carbon footprints, trees, clean air and water contextually to what we sustain. So one nonprofit can begin to help reduce the digital divide in children.
Do we need to shift the way we define sustainable in America...?
As always I welcome your thoughts, and thanks for the visit.
Best,

On another note, text messaging lingo is driving me crazy. It seems that many under 30 years old are losing the ability to write now. Enough is enough. ROFLMAO is just nutty. This is a poor way to communicate.
Hi Timothy,
You say: "text messaging lingo is driving me crazy" ..so funny and true!
Still, I do know that Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) does provide computers for the students. However, a large portion of the global children may not have the economic resources to allow them to catch_up and sustain an education in this digital era. Thus, the need... and as you mention it is a good thought. You do make some good points and it is something we will have see what happens in the future.
Thanks for the visit:w.s.
